The Winery

 

In 1999, the new winery was built in an old family estate in the ancient town of Porrera. The house was largely demolished to make it more functional and to update it with the latest technological advances.

Roquers de Porrera is aged for 16 months in new French Allier oak barriques from the best French barrique making companies. 60 % are brand new, and 40 % are 1 year old.

Marge is aged for 8 months in French Allier oak barriques and American oak. The French barriques are used for 2 years and American oak barriques are used for a maximum of 3 years.
 

 

 
The old well, carved by hand out of stone centuries before, was carefully preserved - its gentle dripping a constant reminder of the long history and care that go into each bottle of Roquers.
